President’s Message:

With the chilly autumn days upon us it is time to start on those quilts you have been dreaming of. Are you still busy winterizing the yard, and fixing up the house that you have let go while you have played during this past summer. Why not try some time management ideas I have read about. Sew 10-15 minutes a day is better then not sewing at all! Sew while supper is cooking, while the kids are doing their homework, or anytime you can isolate a few minutes for yourself. Start now and you could finish that quilt you have been dreaming of in no time.

We look forward to those who share what they learned as they attended Quilt Fest

Sewing Tips from September Meeting: By Loretta Hunt

©       Skirt the issue of how and where to hang mini quilts or sets of finished blocks waiting to be joined. Clip them to a skirt or pants hanger and hook the hanger over a shelf. 3

©       When pressing a block with many points meeting at the center, trim and fan the joining seam allowance out. Put a few drops of water, at the center and press.  This will help the center lay flat.
