March guild meeting

Ask not what your fabric can do for you, but what you can do for your fabric

we’re coming up on a new
season. In like a lion, out like a lamb. Snow, rain,
wind, sun, repeat! Yep, it’s springtime in Utah!
We get out the kites, we decorate in green: 4
leaf clovers, leprechauns, etc. We all go crazy like the
March Hare, non-stop.Our lives are very full so let’s get the bike out
or walk around the block. And for sure…take a deep
breath, fill up and get going on to the next thing.
Most of all, Enjoy!

Nickey Green has the “OTT” light.
UFO #1 is due in March. Bring yours to show us!

I wasn't able to attend our guild meeting in March as I attended a sewing conference with my mother. Instead of show casing the many amazing quilts the lovely ladies of the quilt show us. I am presenting a few items that were made in my home and at the confrence.
Kaytlin my 17 year made this amazing quilt, look for it to be a completed work of art at the HMQ show where she is entering it in the youth division and she has done an amazing work of art.

These darling turtle pin cushions were made for the Nation quilt day. To be sold at our guild table to raise a bit of money for our guild.

I made this fun bag for myself but found I wasn't in love with it so chose to donate it to a good cause and sold it at the guild table at the quilt day. It was a fun bag to make with quilting and applique combined together to make this large and spacious bag.

Although the snow is melting, these darling snowmen pin cushions brighten up anyone's sewing room which one is your favorite.

Cupcakes anyone, they are fat free and a fun treat to give anyone to help them hold there pins while they are sewing.

Hats off to my sewing friend, who loving support me and reach out a hand of friendship to me and help me grow and learn. These darling hats are pin cushions complete with there own hat pins. They are a fun addition to anyone's sewing room.

Kaytlin is modeling her new ruffle skirt and scarf that her mom Brenda learned how to make at her conference. It has just enough of the swishy factor that it is fun to make. Bonus it is a light pink which looks great on any young women.

Aprons made with 2 yards and they are lined and have a bit of embroidery work on the pocket. A fun apron to wear in the kitchen.

Need a fun bag to carry your 12 x 12 quilt blocks or books or supplies this quilted bag with vinyl front is the perfect bag for any quilter to have and can be made in 30 minutes or less.

Everyone needs a pair of soft slippers to wear around the house. These are lined with minkee making them extra soft.

A 9 inch circle makes these darling table toppers. What colors would you chose for your table topper?
Thank you for stopping. I have enjoyed sharing with you what I have learned and created this month. I guess you can still stay busy when you are laid up. Always remember that
Anytime is stitchin' time.
